Playful Bent messaging now includes anonymous two way emailing. This mean that you can email playful bent users, and they can answer either via email or via the “My Messages” tab on their profile, and they will never see your real address, only your Playful Bent one.
Here’s how it works. If my profile is at andale.playfulbent.com, then that means my email address is andale@playfulbent.com. There will be a link to these on the profile soon, but basically it’s just your unique username (which is a simplified version of your nickname), followed by “@playfulbent.com”. You can email me at that address, and if you do so from an address that we don’t know about yet, you’ll be asked for a couple of details by the site. After that, we can email backwards and forwards as much as we like with no further hassle. It’s totally anonymous, not even a computer geek who knows how to look up mail headers will be able to see which address you originally mailed from, they will be able to reply only to your playful bent account.
You can give out your address to anyone you like, not just playful bent members. It’s a great way to communicate with adult friends that you meet and want to flirt with without having to be sure that you want them to know everything about you.
We’re pretty excited about this email stuff, and we’ve got more of it coming soon, including:
- Image attachments for emails
- Blocking users that are bugging you, so you never receive any message from them
- Being able to participate in the forums and other playful bent comment threads via email.
- Maybe even being able to email images to the site to go up in your photo sets.
