Flirt Via Email

Playful Bent messaging now includes anonymous two way emailing. This mean that you can email playful bent users, and they can answer either via email or via the “My Messages” tab on their profile, and they will never see your real address, only your Playful Bent one.

 

Here’s how it works. If my profile is at andale.playfulbent.com, then that means my email address is andale@playfulbent.com. There will be a link to these on the profile soon, but basically it’s just your unique username (which is a simplified version of your nickname), followed by “@playfulbent.com”. You can email me at that address, and if you do so from an address that we don’t know about yet, you’ll be asked for a couple of details by the site. After that, we can email backwards and forwards as much as we like with no further hassle. It’s totally anonymous, not even a computer geek who knows how to look up mail headers will be able to see which address you originally mailed from, they will be able to reply only to your playful bent account.

Lazy Sunday Chat

So Sundays have been declared (by us) to be “Lazy Sunday Chat” day. This means where ever you are in the world, when ever your Sunday happens to be, jump into the chat room and get with the chatting, flirting and ahhh, come-what-may.

A call to arms

Playful Bent is looking for help spreading the word.

Big companies that run social networking sites have the funds for large marketing efforts. Playful Bent is run as a small co-operative and doesn’t even cover it’s own costs, let alone have many lying around for marketing. However, we think that we’ve already got the best adult social networking site on the net, and a great alternative to the crass commercialism of the big dating and sex personals sites. Plus, we’re the only site that seems to really care about issues like privacy, full acceptance of different genders and sexualities, and celebrating a full range of different body types and types of erotic expression.

For this to really work, we need to reach out to communities of like minded people all over the world. We’re looking for helpers to do this. If you’ve got a few hours free to help with internet promotion, then it could have a huge impact on the number of fun and sexy people we all get to interact with on playful bent. If enough people do it, it’ll also really let us take on the big boys at their own game. If you think you’d like to give this a shot, please contact Jade (jade@playfulbent.com) and he’ll get you the information you need to start. We’ll also try and reward you as much as you can (keeping in mind that we have no money), which certainly means that we’ll make your account a “lifetime sponsor”, giving you access to new features a bit earlier than other people, and a funky halo. Regular promoters will have a chance to receive a small (and informal) equity share in our co-op, which is the same way that the developers of the site work.

Reviews Feature

 Do you have a favorite sex toy, website or book that you would love to tell the world about? Well now you can share it all with us in Playful Bent‘s new “Reviews” section. Not only can you rate it, review it, link to it but you can also upload photos of you (or a willing victim or two) using it.

New Look & New Feature

Now that you’ve had a few days too ogle the new header and toolbar I hope you have also noticed the new Photo’s feature. It’s just a little thing but oh so very cool.

Now with one click you can see all the photos on Playful Bent from newest to oldest. Click on the thumbnail of images you like to see a larger version on the profile responsible. This is a great way to get to see new people’s profiles – after all, a picture says a thousands words and sometimes it’s easier to show a kink then describe one.

Oddly excited

You’ve seen the group dares, you’ve created a dare, participated in one or just sat back cowering in a corner ’cause your too shy to post public. Well now we get personal!

Jade has been working his itty bitty fingers to the bone, wearing out it brain to make it all come together and now here it is, the ability to challenge someone to a mutual, private, dare.

How it works: go to the profile of someone you like, click on the “Challenge them to a mutual dare” link

this will take you to a new screen explaining the dares and you then confirm that you want to send them a dare.

They will get a message saying that you have dared them, they can then choose if they want to accept the dare or not and if they do, what sort of dare it is, Kinky, Flirty or Sexual. Once they select the type of dare you both get to write your dares and submit them to each other and then the real fun begins.

So get your creative little twisted minds fired up and dare someone

I’ve got a crush on you

I absolutely love our newest playful Bent feature – Secret Crush.

The gist of it is that you go to the profile of someone you have a crush on, click on the link to “create a secret crush” and it will take you to the next screen where you get to write about what you would do to this person if given the chance. That person will get an email saying that “someone” has a crush on them, it wont tell them who it is or what the crush says unless, and this is where your heart starts racing, they reciprocate your crush. If your secret crush has a crush on you then you will both get an email saying you have a “mutual crush” at which point you will both get to see who has a crush on you and what they want to do. I’m all swoony and giggly myself today because a crush I didn’t think would be reciprocated was, and in the nicest way.

Image Gallery

We have now made the Image Gallery available to everyone on Playful Bent. You can upload as many pictures as you want, give them titles, tag them with keywords (like naked, girl, flower, red, artwork, kissing etc). You can use the tags to search your gallery (or better yet, someone else’s) by simply clicking on a tag in that gallery.
